SOL was founded in 1991 and after 6 months of researches and visits to factories it started manufacturing in partnership with Condor, Comet and Nova. And in 1999 created its own development and tests centre.

Since the beggining SOL Paragliders has as philosophy the utilization of homologated projects, manufactured with imported materials of the highest quality and produced by higly specialized and trained staff.

In 1995 the company moved to the current address, where it is installed in an area of 2.000m². It has a team of 75 employees, being 12 pilots, to whom supply benefits as health insurance, transportation voucher, life insurance and scholarship.

SOL is concerned in keeping its factory updated  with the best machines and existing equipment in the market, thus becoming more accurate in the production and quality control processes, and guaranteeing the quality product that carries its logo for 120 countries of the world.

SOL is one the few companies of paraglider of the world to have its own plant, besides testing all the wings manufactured before placing them in the market, what it makes possible to the purchasers the guarantee and the necessary trustworthiness for a good performance in the flights.

At beggining of 2004 SOL Paragliders was certificated by DHV, the most respected regulamentation organ of paraglider, which is concern if the factory has the ability to  reproduce faithfully the equipment which was certificated in industrial scale. Few factories in the world have this certification in the process of production and SOL was one of the first to get it.
